Anemone ID?

Schadenfreude

Been reading up on anemones as I've been wanting to get one for a while, and this little guy kinda fell in my lap from a local gentlemen who was shutting down his tank. Unfortunately he had no idea what it was, and I'm not entirely sure he knew how to take care of it either.

So the questions:
1: I'm hoping this is a pink tip anemone... Or is it something else and bleached?

2: He seems really extended. I'm hoping that's natural? When I set him down, he moved to the rocks and has been there for a week so far. He's nearly doubled in size from when i saw him in the previous owner's tank, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

3: I fed him a small piece of a silverside and he gobbled it down right away. That was a week ago. I tried feeding him today, and he grabbed the piece, then dropped it. I take it that means he's full?

Thanks for any help!

That looks like a condylactis anemone.

There is a notable amount of evidence that silversides are very risky with anemones, and it has been theorized that it may be due to being not for human consumption and having lesser handling standards. Consider purchasing fresh seafood where possible. My local grocer has given me the food periodically since I need so little.

I figured the "Safest fish food available" slogan on the package was too good to be true.

I pickup sushi grade tuna from a local shop, I'll see about getting some fish there for the little guy
