Anemone ID

Hey guys-

My buddy just picked this up from our local LFS. It was sold to him as a bubble tip. Can someone confirm this? Also, does this anemone look healthy? I have no experience with anemones and he does not either. Something about it being sort of translucent doesn't seem right. The mouth is closed and the anemone will inflate and deflate with lighting cycles. What do you think?

I can't say what it is for sure, but it is definitely badly bleached out.

Thats a bubble tip and its in pretty rough shape. Is completely bleached and consuming itself for energy. Its gonna need good lighting and several small feeds a week to make a come back.

We bought frozen mysis to feed the tank with, should we try to spot feed the anemone too? or will it catch enough from the water column?

Its gonna have to be spot fed. its probably not sticky enough to grab it out of the water column. place a small amount right over the mouth and turn your power heads off for a few mins so it can feed

Like above, good lighting(T-5, LED or Halide) and about every 4 days or so try a piece of Krill pealed from the shell. Just go slow at first on the lighting as not to "burn" it on the good lighting.
