Hey guys,

i have a 75 gallon fowlr that will have a miniatus grouper, dog face puffer, a fuzzy dwarf lion, and a maroon clown...

I was wondering if i can get an anemone for the maroon?

i have 3 wpg of light and plenty of flow...

and if yes what kind should i get? bubble? LTA?

I absolutely love the sight of gold striped maroons hosting anemones so please let me know...

thanks

p.s- sorry about the bad grammar and quick questions as i am on my phone....

"WPG" don't tell a thing. What type of lights do you have? What color temp? What wattage?

But, given the bio-load that you have, I see there being issues -- lot of messy (( and big )) eaters in that tank that will most likely case water quality issues.

its 4 x 65 watt T5 HO's with dual atinics and dual 12000 k daylights...

so dont do it? lol i have seen it done before in a friends tank and it was the healthiest looking LTA i'v ever seen with a HUGE emale maroon hosting...

T5's don't come in 65 watts -- sure you didn't mean PCs? And the "dual" part really makes me think PCs. IMO, that won't be enough light for an LTA (( M. doreensis ))

I'm Not Sure... They Are Not pc's Ill check when i get home but i think you are right... iv never heard of 65 watt t5's either... i got the fixture used

I am looking to try this set up as well, but don't have a stocking list set in stone and am willing to base it around the clowns and anemone.

I have a 180gal with a 72" AquaticLife T5 HO and Lunar Light Fixture (4x 36" 39W Actinic
4x 36" 39W 10,000°K) ... will these lights work okay?

I saw a guys tank and he had a GBTA in a fowlr. I don't know how succesfull the tank was but he had what looke like about a 75 gal with the nem, clown, moray eel, and emporer angel(juv.). He was keeping this with retro t5's.

Vid below of my 120g FOWLR-WNEMs ;-)

My fish bioload is reasonable, however my clown has never taken to the nem.

The GBTA nem(s) have been in the same position for 1.5 year - split occurred about 9mo in (if I remember correctly).

Oh and the powerhead is seperated by about 4 inches so the nem is not in any danger.. unless it lets go of the rock and floats (in which case it could end up in any of the pwr heads).
