anemone in nano cube? Mods?

Hi,

I just got a decent deal on a nano cube.

24 with 2x36w pcs

I wanted to set it up on my desk, so that I will never actually get any work done. I have always wanted an anemone, I was wondering, would it be possible to keep a BTA or other less light demanding anemone in one of these tanks without upgrading the lighting?

I plan to upgrade flow, with an extra pump and a pair of hydor flos.
Also to add a few extra fans. Maybe find a way to put my CPR bak-pak in there. Refugium in one of the back chambers. Are there other mods I could use?

A BTA would be fine with the stock lighting. I have a BTA in my 24DX and it actually moved where there was less light. He's doing well and has been for some time.

As long as the tank is well established and all pump intakes are protected you should be fine.

You should be alright with a stock tank.If you get a nice plump Curly Cue or make it nice n plump they look like BTA's imo.

Depends on what you call small. Small fish grow into large fish. I only have 5 fish in my 54.

I'd say a BTA, a pair of hosting clowns, and 1 or 2 other small fish.

what about the size of the anenome? will it fit in a 24g

A BTA should fit without a problem but you may not be able to put very many other corals in with it.

yeah, i already have a tank dedicated to corals

I wanted an anemone, but didnt want it wandering in my tank.

So i want to dedicate this little nano cube to an anemone, and maybe a few small frags.

make sure they dont get sucked up or run in the back mine have always seemed to like the power heads ;(
