Anemone inside the live rock?

Hey guys, was just wondering, hopefully someone can help me out.

I bought a anemone, and it was doing fine at night. Then all of a sudden it went inside a little crevice inside the live rock. I mean literally, inside the live rock. It's been in that crevice for 1 1/2 days. You literally cannot see it anymore.

i know they need flow and light, but is this normal?

Its a new anemone, just worried about it. i was thinking of breaking the live rock and getting it out of the hole its in.

Any help or advice is appreciated thank you.

give it some time. new anemones usually do that i believe. mine also hid amongst liverocks for a few days.

How long has your tank been running & what are your water parameters in numbers? Nems require excellent water quality & it may be unhappy w/ your water chemistries.

Every nem iv had has done this at some point, usually not long after being introduced to a new tank. Give it some time to adjust an it should find a spot where it feels happy. Dont worry :)

Mine split on intro, half came out in a few days the other half took a year and another year to heal from being completely bleached. Give it time and wish for the best, anything you do to try and "help" it along will likely just make it worse.
