Anemone Issues

I have an anemone that seems healthy some days and then looks like it is dying the next. I don't know why this is doing this I have ok parameters and my light is on a timer for 10 hours a day. Please help!

Looks like a severly stressed BTA

What are your numbers for the parameters?
How large is the tank and what kind of lights do you have, and what do you have for filtration/circulation?

You have a full tank shot so we can see how the tank looks. Also what lighting is it under and have you tested your water? It does not look good.

I'll test my parameters tomorrow along with a full tank pick and my lights are just a generic t-5.

It's a 20 gallon tallso I don't think it's the light being to intense. And it doesn't seem to eat. I try to feed it krill and it grabs it but never puts it in its mouth.

How many bulbs is your t5 unit, and what are the spectrum? I wouldn't bother feeding it until it is looking better than its current state.

It's just has a single t-5. And it's white not sure the spectrum.

Hi,

Your anemone will not thrive/survive in the set up you have now.

Your lighting is not adequate for the anemone (ideally you would want 4 bulbs over the size tank you have now). Is your t5 HO? You would also need bulbs of the proper spectrum (2 coral plus, 2 blues plus would be nice)

You need reef conditions for the bubble tip anemone to do well.

Ok it is just in a quarantine tank so I'll move it over to my 55gallon tank with LED's light with 5k whites and blues. Ratio is 1:1 I think it's 100 watt with 2 watt bulbs.

Calcium is 400 ppm
phosphate is <.25 ppm
PH is 8.1
Ammonia is <.25 ppm
Nitrite is 0 ppm
Nitrates is 80 ppm

You should have 0 ammonia, and your nitrates are through the roof. Move it out of that tank to something stable with better lighting.

There he is in the 55. Hope he eats the shrimp has not eaten in a week.

I wouldn't worry about it eating right now. Let it setting in and get healthier looking first.
