Anemone... like... thingy...

The texture of this has me thrown off. At first glance it looks like an anemone of some sort. The "tentacles" are like silky thin and it does not attach via the "base" (which seem to have 2 lobes). The little strands are what strongly attach to the rocks and what not. Anemone? Hydroid? Displaced tube worm of some type? Alien life force?

Looks like the foot of a clam.

You know.... the threads totally remind me of that. That would account for the unusual "stickiness" and movement. The "double barrel" look to the foot would account for the inhalant/exhalant siphons.

That thing is really cool but it's definitely not a nem or Hydrozoa doesn't seem it belongs to Cnidaria might be a type of worm
