Yesterday when I woke up he moved from the corner of the tank where he has been for 3 mos and attached to the front of my tank. Is this normal? and as a side note it does host my clarki on occasion  . ( I know a purple tipped florida anemone is not a host anemone) Thanks

They move until they find a suitable location. Just make sure the water parameters are normal. Any changes in the tank recently?

They always move because They are not happy in the old place. Check if something change in your system the last 3-5 days, water parameters, currents, new additions, lights

Well I would say this just one of them things! You have a Condy Anemone. They tend to move around ALOT!I have been lucky with my as it hasnt moved around but 3 times in a year! But this sounds to me just one of them things!

Does your anemone sting other things in the tank? I know my first anemone, a cody, would sting and is very aggressive. I've seen moved onto btas and have been much happier.

What lights do you have?

That is a very bleached anemone, and it being up on the glass --- sort of high up --- could be a sign that it is searching for more light.

It has never stung anything. Livestock includes snails assorted hermits 1 pepermint and one cleaner shrimp A clarkii clown and a mandirin Goby. I also have 2 serpent stars and ***. zoas. Water changes every sunday (10-15%). All of my water tests are optimal.

I have 2 10k vho and 1 actinic blue flo bulbs (24") . It was completely clear when I got him I was told that this type of anemone dosent get much color. He has now moved back to his original spot from where he was this morning.
