Anemone or clown fish first

Hi

I'm planning on putting a heteractis magnifica in the tank in a month or so. I also want to put two True percula in there.
Should I put the fish in first or the anemone. Or doesn't it matter.

Thanks for the help

I would go for anemone first just to let it settle down incase the clowns decide to go in straight away.

I agree, I'd definitely place the anemone first and let it become acclimated to it's new home before stressing it with fish to host.

I'm sure you know that species, H. magnifica, is difficult to keep successfully. My suggestion is to research it all you can. Also, for that species, I would definintely suggest you have the tank up and running close to a year and have the specific gravity at 1.025-1.026. You will want to have the water parameters on the money when you introduce a new one. And, you will want to make sure you get a healthy one without any tears to the base.

Yes,

I know they are supposed to be hard to keep. My salinity is at 1.025. My tank is about 6 months old now.
At first I wanted a Bubble Tip (Entacmaea quadricolor) since they are supposed to be easier to keep. But do the host True percs as well or not?
Thanks

BTAs aren't the natural host for true percs in the wild, but mine definitely do--both my WC and TR clowns.

Mine love my bta to much if you ask Me

Another vote for anemone first. BTW, I have true percs and RBTA, the RBTA hosts them.

Yup! A big misconception about hosting. Clowns dont host anemones... Its the anemones that host the clowns. Nicely said kidafun:)

first of all how old is your tank, the heteractis magnifica requires a large tank that's well established tank, it moves on the rocks , it's also aggressive and stings corals.

not a very good choice for a new tank, I think you will be much better off with a less demanding anemone like carpet anemone or a bubble tip.

here's some facts you must know before you buy it.

This Anemone requires strong lighting combined with strong, but intermittent, water movement within the tank. It generally prefers a high point in the tank to ensure it obtains all the light it needs, but it may change locations, seeking the ideal conditions. Its strong sting can harm corals. The presence of a Clownfish, will help it acclimate.

if it was any other anemone I'd say anemone first but with particular anemone you must have the clown fish first
