so last night i was checking out the tank before bed and all was good. this morning i come out just to check it out before the lights come on. first i notice very cloudy water then i see the meat chuncks stuck to the power head.:thumbdown.

i have 2 of the koralia 3's, the 850gph ones, is there somethingi can do so that the next anemone does not have the same fate? also did the powerhead grind up the whole anemone? i could only find a few chuncks and those were stuck to the power head. i guess i am just a little sad i only had him a couple weeks and i really liked him.

on a side note are clowns active swimmers? last night before the murder my clowns were swimming like crazy all over the tank. this morning they were back acting normal.

Yup - powerheads can do that. I had a rose that split, and I Was checking on each one @ 10 min intervals (there WERE 3) and when I came back 1 time, 1 of them must have let go and my Vortech MP-10 DESTROYED one of them.
I've had a carpet wander into 2 powerheads, so I'm extra careful now.

You can try to put a foam (like in filters, but not super fine) around a powerhead. The vortech comes with one.

That is always unfortunate!

Although, the one time one of my BTA's went though a powerhead I ended up with about 10 small ones that continued growing
