Anemone problem

My Sebae decided to migrate and I've lost it! Should I take my tank apart before he crawls over something and kills it or not worry? I'm afraid he will pop up and want the spot occupied by something that can't move out of the way.

i would leave him alone. an anemone that moves is an unhappy anomone. let him find a spot and settle again. it takes more than just a sting or 2 for an anemone to kill a coral, believe me mine moved for about a week untill he finally got a spot he liked. im by far an anemone pro, but i did read the forum about anemone's in anemone and clownfihs forum, i wouldnt stress him more by chasing it down, he will come out, he may be looking for more light, less light, more/less flow, or many other reasons.

What kind of lighting do you have, and how old are the bulbs? Have you changed the flow either in direction or amount lately? How is your water testing? Usually when an anemone that has been staying put goes to moving something is wrong.

my sebae did the same. it would move and you would think it is gone, then it would just pop out and now it is happy where it is.

Sebeas are difficult at best to heep happy. Leave him be and he will find his spot. I'm impressed that you can keep one alive long enough for him to decide he wants to move.

Good luck with him.

i have never had any trouble, once they go brown they are fine, and grow very rapidly. I have found they need to be on sand attached to the edge of a rock.

Paul.
