Anemone question

Hello guys,

I am in the look for my first anemone, I'd like one with higher chances of hosting my two clowns.
After a bit of research I am gearing towards a H Malu, not too much of a walker.

I went to my LFS and they did not have a great selection so I'll drive around a bit.
Question, do H Malu come in different flavors? Can someone help me with the prettiest ones?

Also, MY LFS did have the following one but could not give its name, he mentioned something about "long tentacle" but I'm not sure that's the real one. The pics sucks because they have it under an intense blue light. Could you help me ID it?...would it be an option to host my clowns?

Thank you in advance!

Looks very similar to my LTA (Long tentical anemone)

If it has a big pink/red foot... and spots on the outside of its skin... it is in fact an LTA

Picture of mine below

My osc. Clowns took right to it within a day or two... well my female clown anyway...she won't let the male join her yet

Yup, LTA and BTA (and carpets) will host clowns.
Sometimes you have to be real patient though, had one set take 6 months until 1 day....hosting....then never left.
Mine like the BTA's......carpets not recommended unless the clowns are the only thing in the tank.

Thanks a lot folks. I asume there are several types and colors of LTAs correct? The one in my lfs was kind of meh (you see it in the pic) ). Should I go around to find one more colorful?
Also about pricing. This one was in $70. It was probably about 6 or 7 inches long. Is this a typical price?

Thanks!!

Thank you guys. I ended up buying a purple bottom "something". Need to look up the name again. It is very pretty and it was hosting a clown in the fish store. Hope it gets along with mine.

Do not be concerned if your clowns do not run to it.
It can take a day, a week, or in one case 6 months to host.
It's beautiful, keep that water perfect and consistent, If he moves, let him.
He will not sit where you want him, he will sit where he wants.
Once they don't move for about a month, if there are no changes in light and flow, they stay put. Good luck.

Thank you!...what about the light schedule? Do they need light all the time? I have them on from 4pm to 10pm....when I'm home to enjoy it :)

I have a BTA hosting a golden nugget clown. The anemone moved once right after I got it and hasn't moved since. I was lucky though because I bought both the BTA and the clown from PETCO already paired up. It's cool to see the clown feed his anemone! Good luck and don't force anything, just let nature do its thing.

If you are concerned with not enough light just make sure to feed it manually some shrimp.

I feed both of mine once a week..
My Rbta is only 2.5 inch diameter.. so I feed it one krill
My LTA is about 9 inch.. so it gets 4 or 5 krill..

Gonna feed them both shrimp/small fish from the grocery store once I run out of krill
