Anemone riding snail

So before I leave for work, I dose my tank with zeovit products and have a quick look around the tank with a torchevery morning, this morning I noticed something unexpected, my bubble tip has attached itself to a trochus snail, and is now cruising around my tank, I'm not sure how to feel about this, sure I think it's pretty funny, a little cool even, but what happens if the snail goes near one of my wave makers? (Don't worry I'm turning them off when I'm not watching the tank for now) so should I just wait this out? And right on que, 10 mins after video was taken, here it is right next to my wave pump grrrrrrrr!

2hrs later, I'm looking all over, can't find it anywhere...

The last picture just gave me the shivering chill...Cover the power head please.

You can wait for it to settle but it might take longer since the snail is the only thing the anemone can grab on to. Besides constantly moving to different spots of the tank won't make it feel comfortable. Some snails also likes to move to the surface of the water which might make the anemone touch the air, not a desirable situation.

Alternatively, you can gently remove it from the snail and put on a rock work where it can get enough light. After it attached, it will move to a spot it likes to settle down.

that is kind of cool but i would definitely try and remove it and put on a rock somewhere else. have you found it yet?

Found it this morning again, though where it is I can't tell if it's still on the snail, powerheads are off, the only time they are on is when I'm literally watching the tank without distraction, off to work now, I'll let you know the situation when I get home [emoji106]

Yes was just about to update on this, so after spotting the anemone in my last post, it looks like It had gotten off the snail and decided to stick itself there, not in an ideal spot for my liking, or for that matter it's own safety, it's up the back of my tank half under a shelf rock sticking its tentacles around the edge to get light etc, this is still pretty close to a wave pump, I have got a gyre pump coming which will be very marginally safer for it, anyone know a way I can make it move away from that spot? Should I point the pump at it? Cheers

Yeah, the way I got my BTA to move was bouncing the flow onto it but not shooting directly at it.

Ok I'll have to give that a try when the new pump arrives, it's ended up right at the back of my tank, so I can't really see much of it and it's now going to be a pain to feed, the odds are though if I make it move it will settle in a worse spot [emoji21]
