anemone split

Oh my gosh! My mom's orange bubble tipped anemone split!! :eek1: I thought that that was so awesome! I have never seen that before. The clownfish who lived there don't know which one to live in. :)

Do all anemones split? I have a sebae(sp).. that is huge my clowns live in, I wish it would so I could get rid of some of it. It takes up about 1/4 of my 75 gal display.

No, they do not all split. I know that the long tent. do not. If your type does not, maybe you can cut it in half similar to fragging corals. You'll have to ask someone much smarter than me on the subject about that though.

The "baby" attached pretty quickly to anothe part of the momma's rock, so I can't get it out. The female clown has decided she needs the extra space, so she "vacations" in the baby.

The funny thing is the mother doesn't appear to be any smaller than before.

Sorry, if I can coax it off its rock, it's going to a rather needy maroon clown. Mine is actually orange and not red anyway. If it splits again, I'll let you know. :)

Check them out. You did a great job Mini! Which one is hide (big one?) and which one is seek (smaller one?)?
