I have a GBTA that is frustrating me. I have had him for 2-3 months now. After about the second week he stopped having bubble tips. This is one of the main reasons I picked a bubble tip in the first place.

As you can see he is long and stringy. My parameters are good and he does not move at all. He seems quite happy in his current location. He has split once which was very cool for me. That was after the first week. I would love to see him "bubble up." Sometimes I will see him with the beginnings of bubbling, but not nearly where he should be. Any suggestions?

I've seen other BTA's not bubbling. My LFS has a humongous one that looks exactly like yours and never bubbles. Not sure why this occurs. I wouldn't worry about it, but it stinks that you bought it b/c you liked the appearance of the bubbles, and it won't bubble.

Ugggghhh...I fear you are right. I have seen similar issues with some other tanks I have seen. I was hoping it was more that the owners of the other tanks did not take measures to correct the situation. I might be stuck on this one.
