Anemones and Clams

Will Anemones sting clams? I have several clams on my sandbed and question allowing an anemone to find a home. Will the anemome bother the clam or is this only an issue with other corals?

Thanx

Then I guess it would be prudent to allow the anemone to allow it to find its happy place and then reposition the clam elsewhere. Is this what you found to work?

Yes, you can reposition the clams if necessary but this likely won't be a problem depending on the clam species. Many of the common tank-raised clams prefer to be on the sandy bottom and most BTAs will climb to the top of your rock work pretty quickly.

I would get a BTA just because they like rockwork and clams (well most of them) prefer to be on the sandy bottom. You can always move your clam in case its in trouble to a new sandy spot.
