Anemones and Majestic Angels / Triggers

I recently purchased a Majestic Angel for my new tank. My plan is to have it an anemone tank only with non reef safe fish expect for a few. Does anyone know if Majestic Angels will mess with anemones like RBTA, LTA's, or Carpets?

in this article they have a few angels in the tank with an RBTA...just double checking.

Thinking of getting a baby clown trigger too but have heard mixed things about triggers and anemones. Any input on this one as well?

Thanks,
Kent

I can't speak about a Majestic, but back when I had a Blue Face angel, it loved to nip at my S. Haddoni -- even with clowns being hosted by it.

Triggers and Angels w/anemones

Triggers will just love it to death, along with any clowns in or near it.

Angels are opportunistic omnivores, they will nip at an anemone from time to time while browsing. Some may never, some will always. Among the Centropyge some will ignore them and some like Haraldis are known for browsing on nems and corals.

I'd keep them separate.

IMO/ IME Navarchus with anemones is possible

I would not trust a Clown Trigger.
"Great" host anemone species are not a good choice for FO aquariums.

P. navarchus is one of the less destructive large angelfish for the reef aquarium IMO/IME. I've kept them with nems many times with little or no problems. However fleshy large polyped corals are another story.

thanks!

thanks!

I got that fish from a guy over near Syracuse who had it in his aquarium for awhile so I don't really know how old it was in that pic.
