Not sure if this has ever extensively been addressed here, but I would be interested to know whether there is any correlation between salt mixes and anemone success. We focus so much upon other things like bacterial infections, lighting and flow but maybe something else is at work here - something to do with the ratios of trace elements, etc. Personally, I am currently keeping two gigantea and three mags (oldest gig is 7 months, oldest mag is 3 months. I also have a red haddoni that is about 4 years old and numerous 4 yr + BTAs but they don't count). So far batting 100% (knock on wood) on my attempts and never had to treat any of them.
Please post your salt mix, salinity, whether you regularly dose trace elements (yes/no), water change schedule and anemone track record (let's call it for the past 5 yrs)
I'll go first:
Salt Mix: Tropic Marin Pro Reef
Salinity: 1.026
Trace Elements: Never
Water Changes: 25% every two weeks (religiously)
Track record: (100% - see above)
