Anemones and Salt Mixes

Not sure if this has ever extensively been addressed here, but I would be interested to know whether there is any correlation between salt mixes and anemone success. We focus so much upon other things like bacterial infections, lighting and flow but maybe something else is at work here - something to do with the ratios of trace elements, etc. Personally, I am currently keeping two gigantea and three mags (oldest gig is 7 months, oldest mag is 3 months. I also have a red haddoni that is about 4 years old and numerous 4 yr + BTAs but they don't count). So far batting 100% (knock on wood) on my attempts and never had to treat any of them.

Please post your salt mix, salinity, whether you regularly dose trace elements (yes/no), water change schedule and anemone track record (let's call it for the past 5 yrs)

I'll go first:

Salt Mix: Tropic Marin Pro Reef
Salinity: 1.026
Trace Elements: Never
Water Changes: 25% every two weeks (religiously)
Track record: (100% - see above)

Species: Magnificas, oldest I've had 13 years
BTAs, oldest ~7 years
Crispa, 3years
Epicystis crucifer, 5 or 6 years

Salt: Instant Ocean
Specific gravity: 1.025-1.027
Trace Elements/two part: Never
Water changes: 10%-15%/month
Track record: 100%

Top off with R/O water. Use dechlorinated/de-chloraminated tap water for water changes.

Salt Mix: Aqua Vitro & IO
Salinity: 1.026
Trace Elements: I dose CA, Alk, MG but not other trace elements or AAs
Water Changes: 25% month (if that)
Track record: dismal, though the reason for this is that I buy every gigantea that I can get my hands on. In my 20+ years of reefkeeping, I've had almost every anemone from BTAs to sebae to mertensii, but my favorite by far is gigantea, followed by magnifica.

I may switch to IO 100%. I don't like the way AV mixes and leaves brown crud in my mixing container. Since I dose, I don't really benefit from the higher numbers that AV supposedly has nor is it worth paying a premium for it.

Salt Mix: IO in the beginning but now RC, switched a few years ago. No apparent difference
Salinity: 1.025-1.026
Trace Elements: Never
Water Changes: 10% every week - 10 days
Track record: H. Crispa : 12 years

Salt Mix: Kent Marine
Salinity: 1.026
Trace Elements: Iodine 5ml once a month
Water Changes: 25% every two weeks
Track record: No problems over 8 months with 2 BTAs and a LTA
