Anemones and Vortechs

I know we're all supposed to cover the intakes of our pumps/powerheads...so my question is, have people covered their Vortechs? I'm getting a Gigantea in a few days and want to make sure everything is a-okay.

Hey Drew:)

Yep i did cover my vortechs just in case. He hasn't moved since i put him in but better safe than sorry. I just put some of that crafters mesh stuff you can find at Micheals and cut it into strips and zip tied it on there. I figured untill it was settled and happy then i would take them off. I didn't notice a difference in flow by any means:)
Make sure you send some photos when hes in there. These 2 look like brothers.

I think if you get a good specimen, the Gigantea shouldn't be too much of a problem after the first week with the right placement of the VT's and the Anemone. Once they are happy they usually won't move.

Why not just put on the sponge like guards made by Vortech?
makes sense to me.

I have never seen them here. Would be nice if we could get them here.
