I recently got a sebae anemone and it has attatched partly to the heater. Since the room my tank in is relatively warm the heater isnt always on but i still thought i would get some opinons.( it is a 100 watt heater, if that is relevant)

I'm guessing if it was a problem it would move. In my FW my plecos are always on the heaters, and they're on all the time.

Unplug the heater if you have not done so, burned anemone is quite messy. Anemones move too slow to save themselves.

It should move on it's own shortly, but you are going to want to protect it from the heater going forward.

So why don't they move when the heater cycles back on? Couldn't they just release?

The heater gets too hot too fast. They can't put enough distance between themselves and the element before getting burned.

Good to know that. I always assumed that because my FW fish stay on them so much that the heat dispersed too fast to be a problem.

My GBTA was burned once from coming in contact with a heater, it had a gash on its side, but it healed itself in couple of days.
