I am planning on connecting a smaller tank to my main system wherein the focus is going to be a hosted anemone. I HAD a pair of ocellaris but ich claimed one, the survivor is healthy. I don't have an anemone yet and I was reading up on the stickied FAQ and the anemone's that ocellaris clowns host in the wild are all either huge-ish or very difficult to keep (or at least not for a first timer). Is it a common occurence for an ocellaris to host a BTA?

Next up, why do people prefer RBTA to BTA? Finally, it seems that BTA's are the most common/popular anemone, is this because they are common in nature or is it because they are less demanding?

Thanks ppls =]

A BTA is not the natural host of the Ocellaris but it not impossible, there a plenty of people that have had sucess but you will need to understand from the beginning that it may never happen for you.

To answer why most people have BTA's is because they are said to be the easiest of the hosting species to keep...they are more forgiving for first time nem owners. That, and they are very common.
