anemones

they stick theyre foot on two different rocks and pull themselves apart until each half has 1/2 the mouth.

Mine split 3 ways... I dident get to see most of it though because it was overnight

bad stress can make them split.. if they get to large.. (mine was around 14 inches) if you feed them alot (whitch might be stress to them..)

I suspect that rather than being a reaction to stress, this is a reaction to good conditions. Taking the opportunity to reproduce whilst conditions are good is very common in both the animal and plant kingdoms.

He was being sarcastic. But it's true that they do split under stress. What lighting did you have on your tank? How tall is your tank? Did you feed your anemones? How did you aclimate them? What were your water parameters? How long had your tank been setup before you got the anemone?

I was under the impression that nems used ALOT of energy to metabolize food, so feeding every 3-4 days would be stressful
