Anenome refer oath

I had a anenome shredded by a power head. It was roughly 9 in wide.
After it was shredded, I left it in the tank to see if it would survive.
Eventually, the foot attached to the rock and moved to the back of a
Cave. The clownfish tore the remaining dead pieces off of it. I believe
It is regrowing, and see new tentacles inside of the foot. The clownish
Still host it as well, but it gets little to no light, and it has been in there
For 4-5 months. I guess my question is, does it not need light? And
Will it take a year so so to regrow?

What kind of anenome? I had a RBTA half shredded in a powerhead and it went dead into the rocks for about a month with no light or food. Then came back out when it was healed looking good as new. I hope yours is doing the same, good luck
