anenome tentacles

my bta has recently been dropping tentacles. it's over a year old, and water parameters are fine (only thing off is trates are about 5-10).

my initial thoughts:

i've recently upgraded to an hk4 instead of 2 mj1200's in the same cornerand it's beating the thing up more than i notice

i've recently added an anenome shrimp and maybe it's doing something

i've recently noticed a larger emerald crab hanging around and in the anenome's rock, but i never see it picking ON the anenome.


any ideas?

The shrimp and crab could be irittating it.

weird i could understand the crab, but the shrimp is supposed to live in there

don't think it's the added flow? i originally had 3 mj1200's in a 90, and replaced them with 2 hk4's.

i can put the crab into my sump, but i guess i'd have to get rid of the shrimp

this is gonna be vague so maybe of little use but its all it got so...

I read somewhere about some guy who had some problem with some thing snipping off the tentacles of his anemone. I want to say it was a crab, but then that would be some guess.

told you it would be vague.
