If I put an Anenome on a tower away from a rock wall will it stay on the tower because it shouldnt cross over the sand to the wall? Does anyone have something similar to this and can you post a picture and feed back your experience.

Thanks alot

If an anemone doesn't like where it is, it will move. They will crawl across sand or simply detach and float to a new location. Your best bet is to research the type of anemone you want to keep and what it's ideal lighting/flow is and try to mimic that in the part of your tank you want it to be. This is still no guarantee and whereever the anemone ends up is where it likes and you'll need to adjust your rockwork/corals around that.

I'm assuming your talking about bubble tips. I have sand to control movement in my bta tank. And although it does stop most of them I have 2 bta's that cross over the sand. It is a short distance 3-4 inches but they do it. The rest cross over by using the glass. In general solitary bta's stay put once they find their spot. But if conditions change, and it don't take much for that, then off they go. IME them more
You have the more likely they move. Check my thread "my bta tank build" it will show the two bta islands.

i have 4 bubble tips i have segregated onto a seperate island in my tank, so far this has been the trick for me.. if one decides to walk it will usually just circle the rock and go back to where it started. they will walk over sand but prefer not to imo.
