well i found my angel dead this morning and was wonder because he liked to bully my lionfish if he got stung could that have killed him? he was healthy and ate just b4 lights out the night b4
I don't think so..... no really...... it is possible..... not not likely.....
There would be a big mark on the angel's corpse if it had.....
however - and I am guessing here..... an angel & lion in a 75, probably had other tank mates, I am thinking water quality / environmental issues gave rise to long term stress which initally manifested itself in yoru angel beign a bit of a bully, and peaked, ultiamtely, with his death
not to ridicule you, but such that we may help future re-occurance, what are the water parameters (mainly pH / nitrate), tank makes, and system details? and what type of angel was it - and how big?
I have kept many lions and this has never happened. I also saw my large sailfin get stung when I was trying to catch another fish and it was just fine with a large welt for a few days.
Sure, it is possible, but it is not even remotely likely IMO. Look for the easiest possible solution.
my parameters are all good they were the only 2 fish in the tank the lion is a volitan and is about 6~7 inches long and the angel a a juvi emp. and was about 3~4 inches the angel was healthy and i read all about its needs and even had my LFS order in the special angel diet and i was planing a bigger tank already.
