Angel Question..

I currently have a 200 gallon (8 foot long tank) that has a blue girdled angel in it. I know this isnt a dwarf angel(even though it isnt very big) It is about 6" in size. Does anyone have any experience with adding another Angel to the tank. I would love to put a Juv. Queen Angel in the tank and watch it grow but I am hesitant to try it since I dont think they will get along.
Anyone have any opinions or experiences with these fish??

Thanks,

The majestic is one of the mellower large angels and I think you could add another angel to an 8' 200 gallon tank but I think the queen is a bad choice. Queens get big, mean, and I think sooner or later it would be the majestic on the recieving end of things. I think there are several other large angels you could add to this mix and get away with.

I thought that might be the case...
I really like Queens, and Imeperater )sp?) Angels but I know I can only have one and most likely only after the majestic is no longer around, (which I hope is no time soon)

The only time I have put two angels together was when they were added at the same time. Adding an additional angel to a tank that already has an establish resident will always be risky and is never a sure thing. Adding a 3-4" juv. queen will most likely be your best bet for success because at this size it will be strong enough to defend itself but small enough not to be the bully.

Stay away from queens. They get ornery when they grow up. Look at some of the other angel families (apolemichthys and chaetodonoplus) for candidates.

It looks like I will stick to admiring them in the store.. It's cheaper, easier and worry free..

By the way moonpod... What the hell you got going on in your avatar?
That looks like some serious hardware I have never seen before..
