hi there, working on a new tank for large angels. whether to go for a 5 x 2.5 ( w ) x 2.5 ( h ) or 5 x 3 ( w ) x 2 ( h ). need your opinion. cheers.:bounce3:
Angels (and most fish) are laterally compressed, hence most swim side to side, as opposed to up and down. A bigger footprint allows a larger swimming space, and room for turning/manoeuvring.
Seahorses, for example, are longitudinally compressed, and tend to swim more up and down instead. Hence they are more suited to a taller type setup.

Yep, otherwise you'll be constantly upgrading like me...from 24g-75g-180 & 125 and again the need to upgrade. Who knows...after the 8 footer probably would want a 10 footer. :lolspin:
