Angels and Tangs after Prazi

I noticed a gorgeous genicanthus semifasciatus female on Divers den last night.
It inspired me to make a video of clips from several of the inline fuge-type tanks on my system.
I brought home a male/female pair of G. semifasciatus that went through QT and observation, yet still bombed the 2000gal with flukes.
The 2 G. semi, juvenile blueface and multicolor angel were QTed, while the entire system was praziquantel treated, with no ill effects to anything.
Now all fish in all tanks are happy and healthier than ever!

Treating Prazi in your display should not be a problem, as you'll see. Just make precautions to increase oxygen and surface agitation!

I've treated my display with prazi a few times after flukes getting through my QT but I hate doing it cause I always end up with a few SPS colonies that brown out and take months to get back to normal.

And if you have feather dusters/tube worms its gona be a problem. Plus prazi makes the skimmer go nuts. Ill usually take the collection cup off and let it overflow just for water aeration sake.

It will work and cause minimal stress to the DT considering what all the other products will do that actually work. I find that treating twice is a must in the DT if you have flukes, sometimes more

Ahh, i forgot to put the video up in the first post!
This time around, I left my big skimmer on but with the ball valve wide open and the Becketts closed. Its a PM XL4 dual beckett driven by Iwaki 100rlt. Even with the valve wide open and the air intake close, there was still a good deal of bubbling in the chamber, most likely because of the binding agent that Hikari uses in PraziPro. I left the skimmer on this time around, just to add some water flow, surface agitation and what little bit of oxygen infusion it would allow. The DO, ORP, pH levels I was dealing were scary, and It's like holding my breath the entire duration of the Treatment!!

But things went well, and I may actually treat again....
Just did a 400 gallon water change yesterday. Followed up with some FW dips, to look for any remaining ecto-parasites. Couldnt see any.
The FW bath seems to have helped the Male G. semifasciatus eye begin to heal. I was worried about permanent blindness. Knock on Wood.

Heres the video I meant to post!
