angels

any other large angel should be fine just keep the emporer bigger b/c the are very shy. Also when picking another large angel keep the color o it totally different to those of your emporer.
Add emporer first..

How big is yor Emperor? Nothing from the same family should be mixed but...you could get a Goldflake, Flagfin, Scribbled, or Personifier. It is best if one does not add from the same family meaning no Majestic, no Bluefaced, no African Earspot. No real agressive ones from the Holocantuus group like the queen or others from this family. Make sure that if you add any of the first ones listed are at least as big but better that they are bigger since your fish will try to defend his tank. Lesley

Large angels have personalitys and each behave differently. I have in my 140g tank a 10" blue face, 10" queen,8" emperor, 8" blue ring, 5" magestic, and a 4" singapore with no significant problems. Once you get past two large angels the rest go easily. I have had to trade a few fish to get the right mix but it is possible.

I agree with Niles, I have an emperor, asfur, black velvet and a singapore but they were different sizes and all added within 2 weeks of each other. I'm going to a 300gl shortly and once the tank is up and running plan on adding a blue face and scribbled as well. Remember though these are large fish and an appropriate sized tank is a must. My adding them together and at different sizes and making sure they are all well fed has eliminated the battles that many others have experienced by doing this. If they are well fed the likely hood of aggression is reduced. Also becuase they were added within a short period of time they could not establish territories. There is enough LR and caves, crevices so that each can hide if necessary. I think this may also be part of the reason for my success. IMO though there are some I would not combine such as the Queen Angel as they are know to be nasty even with unrelated species.

Sounds like a dissaster waiting to happen in a 140 gallon tank. Tank is too small for the bioload or the personalities of the fish. Just wait and you will have water quailty problems, agression problems, disease problems.....How long have you had this combination like this? Lesley
