Annoying little plant

Hi,

I see a lot of tiny little red plant in my tank...after they died, it would turn into sting and stick on rocks, corals forever. Is there anyway to get rid of these? thanks!

I also have vermetid snails.

No natural predators that i know of. Only way i beat them was to pull the rock and smash every one i could find. Then i skimmed very wet and ran a filter sock for a week or two. Still have some but i dont over feed anymore so they are in check.

And the red stuff looks to be a macro algae. Get nutrients in check and it should die off.

Looks like the red stuff is string of pearls or botryocladia. You could try to manually remove it, get your nutrients down (looks like you have some hair algae also), or get a herbivore like a small angelfish that might eat it. As for the vermetid snails, I don't really know
