another 6101 problem

OK, I had this one on a controller but noticed that the pump was not running so I took it off. The impeller is mobile (can spin it by hand) and the light on the power supply is on, but the pump won't go on it's own. I put a 6100 in it's place on the controller and it's working so that was not the problem. What could be going on with my 6101?

The motor or power supply could be dead. The light being on is not definitive and this pump would be 4-6 years old. The power supplies average 3-4 year life spans so if this is the original power supply, that is the culprit I would lean toward.

what should I do with this guy? I have some 6105's would those power supplies work with it to test if the pump is OK? I also have some 6000's.

Yes, the 6101 and 6105 power supplies are interchangeable. If you try a known good 6105 power supply and the pump still does not work and you verify the 6101 power supply works on your 6105, the best bet is to order a 6101.015 on tunze.com. This is a complete 6105 pump only as the 6101.015 motor is no longer made. It would essentially be an upgrade kit.

dang, yep, motor block shot, power supply OK :(. (first Tunze to ever bite the dust for me) Do you have a link to the part? Luckily I had an extra 6000 around to take this pumps place. You have me worried now on how long the power supplies last? If I get a new pump and keep the existing supply, how long will this supply last?
