Another ACIII Question

Ok,

Do I need to connect a computer and a serial cable to the ACIII to connect to it via Aquanotes?

This thing isn't that intuitive to set up, but since the wife is no longer complaining about having to go to the basement to start/stop pumps when she feeds the fish, it is a godsend.

I would like to say a big thank you to douglasnj for his help in setting this up. With his help I was able to get the computer talking to the controller w/o using a serial cable.

Anyone enabling temperature compensation for the pH probe? Pro's & Con's?

my understanding is this should be used if you are running a temperate tank not necessary for differences of a couple degrees.
