another aefw question

Is it possible that aefw can be confined to just one coral in a display tank? All of my corals in my display tank are in great shape but one has been looking bad with pool p/e and color. I broke it off my rock work and checked it closely and it is infected with aefw. Whats the chance of only one coral being infected and catching the beasts before they have spread?
thanks
Jeff

I don't think so unless you caught it super early. your best bet is to dio and inspect and isolate for a min of 5 days to verify you got them off the coral. during that time, just thoroughly inspect your pieces for the tell tale signs

I discarded the part that had eggs on it and did two different dips. I would say I got a dozen or so worms off it and have it isolated. Will dip daily for the next day or so. I see no stress signs on any other coral.
Tks
