another aquapod question-sorry

I have an aquapod 12g thats been running for about a month and a half now. Aside from a few major green algae blooms, it is going great. My question was whether or not the stock 56w of pc will be enough for an anenome or two. Nothing like carpet or anything, but mabye like a candilactus? Should i mabye change the lighting configuration? It came with one 6500/10000k daylight and one dual actinic-would it be better to go with the dual actinic and a 50/50, or two 50/50's?

The last thing i wanted to ask is one: how do you guys get coraline coverage on your rock so fast? Mine has been up for a while i i havn't nocticed any.
and two: how do i stop all these green algae blooms,, i can only run my daylight for about two hours a day or my water turns green. I run stock filtration.

Regular water changes, a few snails, and time will stop the algae booms. Are you using RO/DI water? That makes a huge difference. The algae blooms are normal when a tank is first set up but over time with good tank maintainance should stop. Coraline will grow over time too. To help out, make sure your calcuim and alk are in range. I add b ionic soultions to my tanks to push calcuim up. Your corals will thank you too.

thanks alot, i use distilled water for top-offs and instant ocean pre mixed pre-cycled water for water changes. i am going to get a few more snails for the glass, right now my four hermits and the pencil urchin do a great job cleaning the live rock, although i am not sure whether or not my urchin is eating my coraline.

you could keep an anenome in an aquapod but the light won't support it. you could probably keep it alive by feeding it often but it will lose its coloration and won't be too healthy.

algae bloom is still normal for a tank that is a month old. let your tank mature and it should stop gradually along with the help of a good clean up crew.
