Another DIY skimmer...

I've been pleased way beyond expectations with the performance, but I just learned that it can also make incredible amounts of huge bubbles after I started dosing some Mg this evening... overflowed that 58oz cup unbelievably fast :eek2:

but i was wondering witch glue you used ?
and wasn't it difficult to glue the pieces water tight ?

Most construction was done with Weldon #40. No trouble at all getting it leakproof, such as the seams of the cone... #40 does have some gap-filling properties.

also i think it wouldn't be possible without an tablesaw
(witch i don't have).
i'm gonna keep it little bit simpler , by using a square piramid.

tnt, with a router table you can make the pieces as well. Its a little tougher but you can do it. Simply build a jig to cut the pieces out.

pyramid shapes can work just as good........the neck is the only tricky thing.......and weldon#40 will cure any of your guys problems.....hope you dont mind russ i just see alot of questions on the shapes and so on showing yours compared to a 4 sided pyramid.....if it's a problem let me know i will edit the post and delete it.....
