Another good LFS experience - Union

Hey all,

as mentioned a few months ago, I really haven't been at any LFS's lately - simply because my tanks are pretty stable.

However, had a chance to stop by Union Aquarium in Schenectady and was able to chat with the owner a while and had a great time! I did meet him once before, a long time back and he still sounds like he is up on the latest information and still likes the hobby, not just a business! His tanks were clean and taken care of - always a good first impression! He also looked up a few things for me which I had questions on! Very good trip indeed! Will need to go to Union and SB more often.

(David/ Steve - I will try to go to Union again this weekend if I get out of the hospital in time - anything you need?)

Been awhile since we went to Union but have gottoen some nice additions from there. Still have not run into ReefD there though, him working or otherwise.

yeah im there . i was working more with the state cause they gave me extra hours last few months but summers over and the vactions are over(which i fill) so im back at union regularly. i work days only so its hard for me to see you guys in the evenings. lots of good things going on over there as far as stock and new additional set ups( invert set up should be added before years end adding another wall downstairs with tanks!). i work regularly on tuesdays and thursdays(days only). im gonna see if i can be there more during the week (wed.) as i have more free time and i love the hobby. any request or questions feel free to call union during my hours or early(9a-12n) to speak with paul(owner)...hes very helpful and full of knowledge. im happy to see if we can get those hard to find stock in our next order for any of ya'll.

new frozen food product at union for puffers and triggers. half shells from h2o foods. awsome and small size perfect for tanks and preventing fouling. used it today and the puffers went made smashing up the shells like they would in nature. worth it if you have puffers or triggers for sure! as a hobbiest this stuf really intressed me. check it ..if not at union on line or your area LFS.

Swamp bottom
...........all have large salt stock

Went back to Union yesterday and again had a great time - this time spoke to Paul (owner) and David - both extremely helpful.

Picked up a lawnmower Blenny for the prop tank and he is loving it - he's the king of the tank!
