Another Green Star Polyp Question

My GSP opens up great every morning but then closes down about midday. 150 MH with atinics. I have the coral on the bottom of the tank not directly under any of the MH. This is a 48x24x24 tank so it is pretty far from the MH. Vortech is set just a bit over the minimum flow.

Is this an indication of too much light or too much flow...or what?

Or should I just chill?

Mine did the same thing for a little while and now they are open the whole time that I have my lights on.. so just give them some time.

I have had coral get out of sync with my lights from time to time. I had a yellow leather that was beautiful for a year then would close its polyps while the light was on and put them out all night. It would even open its polyps if I shut the lights off to work in the tank for a few minutes then close them when the lights came back on. I would tink it will eventually get back to normal.

You should be ok, They should return to normal. If not try them up a little higher. Are they getting sand pushed on them by the fish during the day. The fish might not be as active right away and then once they become more active they disturb the polyps.
