Another GSM Pairing Thread

So I have had a maroon clown for about 6 months and she has been doing great. I have tried to pair her with another three times. The first one she killed because they were both female, the second one was a successful pairing but the damsels killed it, the third was also a successful pairing but he didn't make it because he never ate for me. Fast forwarded to a week ago and I am making one final attempt to pair her up. I have had the new little guy for about a week and he is doing well. The size difference between them is pretty big, she is 2"-2.25" and he is 0.75"-1". The thing that really worries me is the bullying to establish dominance. Since I have had him the male has been in a net breeder hanging from the side of the tank. My plan is to keep him in there until he gets a little more size to him. My question is would he turn to she because there is no other clown with it? Should I pull the trigger and try them together? In the past when I have paired clowns I put the two of them in a clear breeder container for a few days then release them at night during a feeding then lights out immediately after. Any other ideas are welcome. Any thoughts? Advice?
Thanks in advance,
-Stephen-

How did your female react to your new one? Did she come close to the net with the new one in it? Did he eat already? Try to feed your fish before you let the new one out so they don't fight for food. Remember, no pair is complete without a little fight.

I put him in a clear plastic container about eight inches away from where she hangs out all the time. She charges him and tries to bite through the plastic then turns around and goes back to her spot. Pretty much was constant last night. Tonight I am going to pick one up that has a partition and put them both in it..l
