Another hawkfish compatibility question

Posted this in the reef fish board, got readers but no responses. Anyone keep a small hawk like a falco or flame in a tank with a BTA? I'm worried about the hawk's hopping/perching behavior.

Thanks.

I've got a falco in a 25gal, hawks can cause minor damage to their perching sites (if they're alive) and can cause irritation, mine just perches on live rock tho.

Thanks for the response.

I'm actually more worried about danger to the fish from trying to perch on my BTA.

hawkfish have skinless pectoral fins specifically for perching on stinging corals. I don't think a falco would try and perch on an anemone, they seem to prefer stonier perching sites and hawkfish would probably evolved to know that anemones are unsafe perching sites (if they are)

no chance of your hawkfish sitting on your nem, possibly could get scred into it but that the only way they will come into contact.
I have a flame with a haddoni no issues at all.

Great! Thanks for the responses. Now, I just have to decide between the falco and the flame . . .

I have had both a hawk and a rbta together for some time now with no issues, i think my 5" maroon clown helps with that too..
