Asterina... Found them. Looks like something I will probably end up removing.

ive never had issues with them, IMO they are decent little cleaners

I had problems with somme asterina that were eating my zoanthus.They were healthy zoanthus ,new polyps not sick or dying.But even with asterina eating my zoas i still like them and i didnt removed them all,just the specie that was eating zoantus from time to time(those had red spots on them).

They have a chance to take over a tank. I killed the one i found just to be safe.

if there is that many in your tank then that means there is to much food for them. the population will adjust to how much food there is. so if your tank is setup right with good flow and nutrient export ime there should never be that many in the tank.
