Ok, heres my questions,

1-after recieving sps frags whats the first thing that shoud be done?

2-i will be setting up a qt tank for when i recieve given frags, how long should they be kept in qt

3-any treatements used in the qt tank?

4-what dips are recomended for sps?

5-whats the best way to prevent all types of sps disease via dips?

Is the QT setup with pristine water, and ample light and flow? If not, keeping them there more than a few days could do more harm than good. Coralrx is a good dip along with interceptor if you see any redbugs.

Agreed with MCCOOL. Have a container ready with some saltwater and CoralRX mixed in. Keep water moving around with frag in it and remove after 5-10 minutes. This should keep you in the clear. If you see problems then I'd QT the the frag but if not then I'd put it in DT on bottom. Bugs should appear shortly after introducing to CoralRx:)

Acclimate to tank water in a seperate bucket, add intercepter and revive, observe, nothing crazy coming off then cut the base off throw it away and put the remaining coral in the tank.

There is no reason to cut the base off a frag on a plug. If it were a wild colony then that's another story.
