i know lots of people ask about this....but i am new to this problem....i have a hippo tang in my 75 reef with inch i think.....he is still eating great and i am soaking food in garlic and vitality and using frozen foods and sea weed. It still is doing well....but has lots of little white spots on and it and want to take care of it before i lose him. The hippo is very small, smaller then a flame angel. I know if i had a QT tank i would use copper or something but do not have one. I have a 8 watt and turned the flow down but do not know what else i can do. I just am making sure the fish does not stop eating.

thanks in advance, i really like this fish so need help please...and sorry for any typing errors.

oh my bad its about 4 years....but had a rough first 2ish until i set up a new sump and huge skimmer, and new lights and all. all my other fish are fine....knock on wood....thanks for the reply dynamixone

4 yrs I would just do some water changes and keep them well fed. they will fight it.

feed the hippo tang lots of nori.

dont so anything drastic yet. look for flashing (short bursts of movement) are they scratching on the sand or rocks.

no seems to be swimming great, and not scratching on rocks or anything....i have a tomato clown that likes to chase it a bit, but those 2 are getting better....actually much much better. thanks for the info also. i tested my water a few days ago, and all was grrreat except amonia was 0.25 but i did a 25+ gallon change the next day. i am going to test again tonight and see how the water is.

thanks again

matt
