Another LED Approach...

I just ran across this product while browsing YouTube... this looks very slick!

http://www.aquariumled.com/

To me the white looks a little stark.... probably very 10k-ish in color... almost a hint of yellow. when searching the site to find out the color temp rating (which I never found), it did state that their customers prefer to have something a bit bluer in color, so they recommend adding a 20w actinic.

Has anyone seen this product before?

LEDs are coming!

Thanks for the thread! That is the first time I have seen document growth using LED and small polyped stonies. I feel this will be an eventual replacement for MH when the cost goes down.

Very nice but cost toooo much. Soon, or few year later new OLED will come out with much better lighting.

Just a thought.... it's 24 LEDs... looks like it has a wider dispersion based upon its shape. Total 42 watts.

Of course, these 12" x 12" blue and white panels on ebay have 108 LEDs... bigger foot print? But only 48 watts. And only $125.
