OK so I am thinking about switching to LED's but need a little advice from you guys. My tank is 6'x4'x27" peninsula style. It currently has 2 400w and 1 250w halides on it now. I want the most light on the center of the tank and the light to taper off towards the edges as it does now. So my question, How wide should I make the heat sink (may go with the rails like I seen used or go custom heat sink), how many leds should I use, and how far should I space them apart? I want to keep the color close to 14k like a blueline 14k bulb.
