I have always wanted to have a group of clowns since i have started this hobby and the more i look into the possability the worse it sounds. I have been told that you can keep a family of 5 or so skunk clowns together peacfully. Is this true and has anyone ever done it for an extended period of time? I have a fairly small tank also its a 65 with a large RBTA about 10" across. I do not have many fish in the tank becaue i have been thinking about doing this for some time and would like some more info in this crazy idea of mine.
thanks in advance :)

I have 11 Fire Clowns in a 60gal. They are the only inhabitants and I've had them since they were 3/4" in size. They are housed in a 60gal with a 20gal sump and 20gal refugium. G3 skimmer, 2x150W MH 14K bulbs with 3 green BTA and 1 rose BTA.

I suppose they've been in the tank for better than a year now. They have their territories. Remember in the wild, you see a "bed" of anemones and may see 20-30 clowns in an area. Now, that being said, I wouldn't do it with Maroons... But skunks, clarkii, tomato complex, oscellaris/percs would be fine in a family environment.

I have a family group "5" oscellaris in my 270gal too. All in one anemone, Sebae 18" across or so.
