Another mandarin fish.

I've had a pair of mandarins m/f,Synchiropus splendidus,for the last 6 years but my female mandarin died a few weeks ago.I've been thinking of getting a replacement but this time adding a target[spotted] mandarin.Will this fish get on with my existing male? I know males fight but this is a different type of mandarin so will it be ok.
Anyone keep them together?

I've seen a mix of several spotted and red mandarins in one tank. As long as their is plenty of space its okay.

I've had a scooter and red mandarin for 2 years in just a 65 gallon tall and they seem perfectly fine....until I sold them. lol.
