another newbie anemone question?

3 days ago I added a med color bulb anemone to my tank for my clowns and they ack like they don't even know its there. how long does it take for them to bond or what ever its called they do? 2 younger tank raise perks.

Also, what should I feed him since I bough him online and I forgot to ask? I've just been squirting filter food in it direction every night(MicroVert, PhytoPlex, ZooPlexx) not even sure if he's eating it or if thats the right thing to do?

It might take a little while for the clowns to start hosting the BTA, I have a rather large BTA about 5-6" across my perc didn't notice it until I added a Maroon clown and now they both share it.
As for feeding, the Zoo and Phyto work just fine also put some small pieces of shirmp or clam meat either 2-3 times a week...DO NOT use large chuncks or overfeed it! Also what do you have for lights? They like alot of light because of the algae living in them that is where most of the nutrition comes from. I have a 150W metal halide on mine.
