Another RO question

I inherited an ro unit with the purchase of my tank last year (thank you redrider!) and it has come time for me to maintenance it. Which means I need to learn how to maintenance it. The model is a dvoneb aqua. The only information I can find on it online is that it was a unit extensively sold on ebay until a few years ago, and that no one seems to know where to purchase replacement parts. My TDS has crept up to ~10, so I either need to figure out what needs to be fixed on this or I need to purchase a new unit. Any thoughts?

I have that exact model!!! I bought all my replacement filters from BRS (I replaced all the filters on this order, except DI, I had that already). They all fit perfectly, no issues whatsoever. Everything is working great at 0 TDS.

Couple things, I removed the white canister on the top, should be the charcoal filter. I could never get 0 TDS with it in the setup. Below is the list of everything I bought, with SKU numbers and prices. I replaced the flush kit and flow restrictor (in your pic its the part hanging down with the black handle and the round piece with 4 screws, right above the 2nd letter "R" in REVERSE) that came with the unit with the BRS ones, they work so much better. When my reservoir is full and the float valve stops the water, it actually stops flowing out of the overflow hose. With the old unit the water was continuously running. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

That was a nice unit when I got it. It was inexpensive, had 0 tds, and a flush valve. I did some reading and I guess the pressurized storage tank is bad for the membrane. I guess when the water fills the tank, it creates a back pressure that wont allow the water to pass through the membrane properly, thus shortening the life of it.

I guess when the water fills the tank, it creates a back pressure that wont allow the water to pass through the membrane properly, thus shortening the life of it.

If you are using a storage tank then there should be a check valve between the DI IN and the activated carbon filter on top if it is plumbed right. If there isn’t one you need to put one inline. Put a T on the DI IN and install check valve between it and the activated carbon filter. The DI OUT will now be your tank water and the other end with the check valve in it from the T will go to the IN on the activated carbon filter on top and the OUT line of that now goes to your storage tank. As you use water the tank will fill and there is no back pressure on the membrane. This also saves the DI resin from getting beat up every time you get a drink.
